We worked closely with the community to design Phase 2 of the development, continuing the collaborative process to expand the cooperative housing and strengthen the social and spatial qualities of the existing scheme. Homes for Change is widely recognised as an important example of community led development within the wider regeneration of Hulme.

The project is a fully mutual cooperative, meaning all residents are members who collectively manage and make decisions about the housing rather than renting from a traditional landlord. The development combines residential flats with workspaces, studios, and ground floor commercial and community spaces, creating a mixed use environment that supports local organisations and social enterprises.
